Join a knitting world record with Shaun the Sheep!

21st January 2013

The Campaign for Wool has teamed up with Aardman Animations, so that Shaun the Sheep can spread the word about the benefits of real wool. Shaun's PomPom Parade is a project to raise awareness of wool, encouraging everyone to make pom-pom sheep to set a new world record and have some fun.

Making pom-pom sheep is great fun: there's a free pom-pom sheep-making kit that you can download, and create your own special Shaun the PomPom Sheep and Timmy the little PomPom lamb. Or if you're feeling extra creative, you can design your own sheep from scratch!

You can read more about Shaun's knitting in issue 103 of Simply Knitting, in the shops this Wednesday, and keep an eye on your flock via the 'Shaun's PomPom Parade' Facebook group. Once your pom-pom sheep is completed, post it off to join its friends at The Wool Room, Unit 4/5 Woodside Farm Industrial Estate, Ketton Road, Empingham, LE15 8QD.

The full pom-pom flock will be revealed in March, so keep your eyes open for the main event.
