Free on Ravelry is this Can Cozy by Mei Lynne Travis - great for protecting small hands from cold drinks!

Free knitting pattern cup cosy

Also on Ravelry is this cup cozy by Luciana Young, which uses up your leftover sock yarn. She helpfully includes the detail that the finished project weighs exactly 12g, so you can weigh your yarn to see if you have enough.

Free knitting pattern placemats

If you sign up to the Lion Brand yarns website, you can download the pattern for these colourful placemats. They're great for using up yarns from your stash!
