The Breast Cancer Haven fundraising campaign, The Big Tea Cosy, takes place from 1 – 7 February 2017. It's a perfect chance to join your friends and other knitters to fundraise for people affected by breast cancer.
If you'd like to take part in a Big Tea Cosy, simply get together with a group of friends and charge each guest to come along, with a cup of tea or piece of cake. You could also run a tombola or a small craft sale. All of the money you raise will go towards Breast Cancer Haven's vital services.
To help with your event Breast Cancer Haven have a pack with invitations for your guests, fundraising ideas, cake recipes, knitting patterns and kids' activities, as well as balloons and bunting. Find out more here, and you can also enter competitions for the chance to win 60 balls of Paintbox yarn from LoveKnitting, and a KitchenAid stand mixer worth over £500!
And if you can't arrange your own Big Tea Cosy there are four being held by Breast Cancer Haven, at their centres in London, Leeds, Fareham and Hereford – for details and dates click here.
You can download the free pattern for this pretty cable tea cosy set by Louise Butt here. And LoveKnitting have a choice of six fantastic tea cosy patterns that are free to download for the Big Tea Cosy – see the patterns here.
