Rural Coast, p67

Shape Shoulders and Back Neck

This section should read:

Cast off 7 (8: 9: 10: 11: 12: 13) sts at beg of next 2 rows, keeping patt correct. [102 (110: 118: 124: 130: 136: 144) sts]

Next row (RS): Cast off  7 [8: 10: 10: 11: 12: 13] sts, patt until there are 19 [21: 23: 25: 27: 28: 31] sts on right needle and turn, leaving rem sts on a holder.

Work each side of neck separately.

Keeping patt correct, dec 1 st at neck edge of next 3 rows, ending with RS facing for next row, and at same time cast off  8 [9: 10: 11: 12: 12: 14] sts at beg of 2nd row.

Cast off  rem 8 [9: 10: 11: 12: 13: 14] sts.

With RS facing, slip centre 50 [52: 52: 54: 54: 56: 56] sts onto a holder, rejoin yarn and patt to end. Complete to match first side, reversing shapings.

Chart C should read as follows:

Chart C

Market Day tote bag, supplement page 31.

As the original Lang yarns has been discontinued, we recommended Deramores Vintage Chunky as an alternative. There's no orange shade however, so we substituted the orange for red (Robin, shade 011).

If you would prefer an orange alternative, we suggest WI Soft & Chunky, which comes in an orange shade (Masarla), or MyBoshi No 1 in Orange.

Girls on Top

The charts don't fit into the pattern on the Body. Using the amended charts below, work as folls:

For Chart A, you should begin on stitch 8 (3:1) and end on stitch 4 (3:7).

For Chart B, you should begin on stitch 11 (5:2) and end on stitch 3 (9:12). This ensures the people are central.
