King Cole socks

Get knitting with... King Cole

13th January 2016

Inside issue 121 of Knit Today are these toasty socks, designed by Katya Frankel exclusively for us. They're knitted in King Cole Masham DK, which is 100% superwash wool from the Yorkshire town of Masham.

The socks only need 2 50g balls and there's a gorgeous choice of 10 colours: pretty Parsley shown here, deep purple Bilberry, vivid Raspberry pink, and many more.

For your nearest King Cole retailer use the stockist finder here.

The pattern is perfect if you're new to knitting socks, or need a pair that's quick to knit – there's an easy method to shape the heel, and as it's an afterthought heel you can easily replace it if it gets worn out. You'll find a step-by-step guide to working Kitchener stitch too, which is used to knit an invisible smooth seam.
