If you enjoy a laugh, you can also meet the risque knitted residents of idyllic English village Woolly Bush, in daily screenings of Nudinits: Tickled Pink. This award-winning stop-motion animation film stars a cast of naked knitted characters, by writer, designer and knitter Sarah Simi and animator Ed Hartwell. There's also the launch of the Nudinits book, which features 15 knitting patterns including Woolly Bush locals Bernard and Barbara.

At the show you can also see the Black Icons exhibition, which celebrates black culture through textiles as part of Black History Month. The project celebrates iconic black British cultural figures from the 1920s and 30s, and 37 young people have produced a magazine to celebrate their heritage. It features textiles that were designed, created and modelled by the volunteers, inspired by traditional East African Kanga cloth, to celebrate their chosen Black Icons.

The Black Icons magazine will be launched at the House of Lords in October during Black History Month.  Copies will be available at the show and online at the FAD website.
