Olwen top Mary Henderson

Mary Henderson's Olwen lace Fair Isle top

Exquisite Fair Isle and lace stitches combine in this very special jumper by Mary Henderson.

23rd February 2016

Mary Henderson's talent for combining colours and a thorough knowledge of Fair Isle traditions result in this pretty lacy top with a Fair Isle yoke. It's fitted at the bust and gently flared at the hem, with cropped sleeves. The Fair Isle colourwork is used around the cuffs too.

Mary knitted her top in Explorer Coast Lace – a 2ply blend of 55% merino lambswool and 45% cotton, which provides a soft fabric and good stitch definition. It's available here from Great British Yarns, in 23 beautiful shades.

And now you can download the pattern as an individual PDF, for £4 from Ravelry. Click here to view more details, and to buy it. To browse all our knitting and crochet patterns available individually as PDFs, including Mary's Alcott tank top and Blackthorn shawl, click here.
