The Campaign for Wool’s annual Wool Week takes place this year from 8-21 October, and as part of the event the Woolly Roadshow will be going on tour.
This educational Roadshow was commissioned by David and Karen Griffiths of Griffiths' Mill to promote British wool, sheep and the Rare Breeds Survival Trust.
The Roadshow opens daily from 8am-3pm and includes a display of native sheep breeds from local farms plus hand-spinning demonstrations. Visitors can browse the exhibition trailer, which features a display of yarn, knitwear and other wool products – some of which are available for sale.
There's also a Land Rover which has been fitted out inside as a wool bedroom, and has an audio-video display about lambing, shearing and wool processing.
