Online craft shop, Injabulo, is launching it’s second Knitting for Pebbles Appeal, which asks knitters to get out their needles to help children with special educational needs living in the Winelands area of South Africa. The aim of The Pebbles Project is to enrich the children’s lives through providing support and training to local crèches and establishing after-school provision for older children in the area. Winter can be particularly harsh in this region, and many of the children are inadequately dressed, so this year’s appeal is for hats, scarves, gloves, sweaters, cardis and blankets. We challenge you to dig deep into your yarn stash and see what you can create. The children are aged from newborn up to eight, and you can knit in any yarn or pattern. Send your knits to: Injabulo, Home Farm Cottage, Ashton Wold, Oundle PE8 5LZ – please include your email address.
